Market interest test submission closing date: Monday, 14 September 2020 at 11:59pm (AEST)

CIM Stratford Pty Ltd (ABN 070 387 914) and Gloucester Coal Ltd (ABN 008 881 712) has applied to the Department of Regional NSW, Mining, Exploration and Geoscience (MEG) for a Group 9 (Coal) exploration licence for operational allocation purposes in accordance with section 13C of the Mining Act 1992 and clause 20 of the Mining Regulation 2016.

Exploration Licence Application No. 5910 (Act 1992) is located about 12.25km south of Gloucester, over an area of 53.25 hectares and embracing strata from the surface to 15.24 metres depth. The location of the application is show in the diagram and can also be viewed in Minview.

MEG is required to assess any market interest for the application by CIM Stratford Pty Ltd and Gloucester Coal Ltd – ELA 5910, and is seeking submissions from parties interested in exploring and potentially developing coal resources within the application area.

If you would like to express interest, please provide:

  • Details of why you are expressing an interest in the area
  • an overview of how it could form part of an existing or potential mining operation (including for example, an overarching conceptual mine plan)
  • details of your experience in coal mining and exploration and/or developing a mining operation, including with reference to your financial and technical capability.

Submissions may be made by email to resource.operations@planning.nsw.gov.au quoting “Market Interest Test for ELA 5910” in the subject line by the closing date.

This notification is made pursuant to section 13C(3)(b) of the Mining Act 1992 and the Guidelines for Coal Exploration Licence Applications for Operational Allocation Purposes, and does not constitute an invitation for a coal exploration licence or mining lease nor a release of the area under the Strategic Release Framework.
